In late July, Siplus Semiconductor welcomed a group of fresh graduates who had just stepped out of campus. To help them smoothly transition from students to professionals, the company meticulously organized an orientation day.

This “first lesson at Siplus” marked the formal starting point of their careers.

Lesson 1: Understanding the industry – and your own choice

The event kicked off with a relaxed and sincere conversation.

Mr. Pan Xingxing, the company’s General Manager, sat down with the new colleagues and shared the founding vision of Siplus, its development direction, and why the company focuses on the precision processing fields of slicing, grinding, and polishing.

He spoke about how the semiconductor industry is closely linked to popular sectors such as artificial intelligence, smart automobiles, and consumer electronics. However, behind the mass production of chips lies a foundation of many critical yet often overlooked processes. As advanced manufacturing and advanced packaging continue to evolve, the importance of wafer grinding, and polishing has grown significantly.

Slicing, grinding, and polishing may not be the most glamorous steps, but they are indispensable foundational capabilities in the semiconductor supply chain. Siplus has chosen to deepen its roots in this field—a sector with high technical barriers and steadily growing demand. Only with a clear direction can long-term accumulation truly pay off.

Lesson 2: Walking through the exhibition hall – seeing Siplus’s growth

After the talk, Dr. Pan led the new colleagues into the exhibition hall and walked them through the company’s development history and business landscape.

From the strategic choices made in the startup phase, to the technological iteration of the full‑process equipment for slicing, grinding, and polishing; from product R&D and process validation, to customer applications and industry recognition—he explained each exhibit board and equipment model in detail and depth.

When discussing technical specifications, he emphasised: “These numbers are not just targets painted on the wall; they are results repeatedly verified on our customers’ production lines. The projects you will participate in will also become part of these data.”

The new employees gathered around the exhibits, asking questions from time to time. At that moment, they began to grasp more concretely where Siplus stands in the semiconductor industry chain, and they grew more excited about the work ahead.

A souvenir: a welcome, and an expectation

After the tour, Dr. Pan presented each newcomer with a customised souvenir. Though modest in value, the gift carried the company’s sincere welcome to every new member. As they stood side by side for a group photo, the shutter clicked, capturing the first assembly of Siplus’s next‑generation force.

Lesson 3: Entering the production line – touching real precision manufacturing

Afterwards, under the guidance of the Technical Director, the new colleagues walked into the production site to observe equipment assembly, debugging, and process applications up close.

Unlike theoretical knowledge learned in the classroom, every procedure on the production line—every inspection, every parameter verification—is closely tied to equipment performance, customer requirements, and product delivery. The Technical Director explained the application scenarios of slicing, grinding, and polishing processes using live equipment, and patiently answered all questions. For many graduates, this was their first time so close to the real‑world environment of semiconductor precision manufacturing.

From blueprints to equipment, from theory to practice, from campus to the industry frontline—here, they witnessed how knowledge materialises, and began to understand the responsibilities and value they will bear in their future work.

From “newcomers” to “new forces”

Orientation day lasts only one day, but the journey of career growth has just begun. From today on, everyone shares a new identity—members of Siplus.
